Ondriel Layson Smith is a Tulsa man accused of murdering Keith and Glynn Williams in a parking lot in the 5600 block of East Skelly.

Since September 2018, he has been held in jail. According to court documents, he has been charged with more than a half-dozen other felonies since his arrest, all arising from claims of wrongdoing done while in custody.

Following that, he is facing the death penalty. Last year, District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler stated that the death penalty should be considered in Smith’s murder case. He claimed he shot five people in 33 days, killing two of them, citing a history of violent criminal offenses.

Meanwhile, he claims Smith assassinated Glynn Williams to escape being arrested or prosecuted for killing Keith Williams in his presence.

In a separate instance, Smith is charged with two counts of shooting with the intent to kill. In a preliminary hearing, he was also accused of shooting his ex-partner in the leg during an argument.

More charges have been brought against Smith, including assaulting a Tulsa County custody officer on September 15 by having another inmate splash urine on him.

Smith is also charged with threatening a violent act on the same day. According to court documents, he threatened to kill two detained officers when they seized his cannabis, cellphone, and charger, all of which were considered contraband, resulting in a charge of possession of prohibited items.

Moreover, Smith was discovered with methamphetamine in jail on September 11, according to a third case.

Prosecutors charged Smith with disorderly conduct in August of this year, before the other cases. He and another inmate were charged with aggravated assault and battery in the same month. He had two more charges filed against him by December, stating he threw body fluids on Tulsa County jail personnel, according to documents, and he was charged with the same allegation again in July.
