Darryl “Hommo” Baum was assassinated in a drug war with reputed drug kingpin Damion (World) Hardy.
Darryl was shot in the back of the head and died due to the bullet wounds.
Damion Hardy was accused of committing more than six murders as well as racketeering.
He was once engaged to rapper Lil’ Kim.

Darryl had a dark past of his own.
Baum, who has been identified as the shooter, shot Curtis James Jackson, better known by his stage name, 50 Cent.
On May 24, 2000, 50 Cent was brutally shot nine times in front of his grandmother’s house.
Three weeks after the attack on the American rapper, Baum died from wounds that he suffered on June 10, 2000.
50 Cent was shot in the hands, hips, legs, arms, left cheek, and chest with a 9mm handgun outside his grandmother’s home. Curtis was in the hospital for 13 days, and it took him another five months to fully recover.
