On October 28, 1948, Themetta Suggs Berry married Chuck Berry.
The couple also gave birth to their first child Darlin Ingrid Berry on October 3, 1950.
At Chuck’s death, he has survived his wife of nearly seventy years, Themetta “Toddy” Suggs, and their four children.
The name of their four children is Darlin Berry-Clay Aloha Berry and Charles Berry Jr., and Melody Exes Berry -Eskridge.
Charles Berry Jr., Berry’s only child, eventually joined his father’s band to carry on his father’s legacy.

Berry was an elderly man. His passing was bittersweet for his fans, who grew up idolizing Berry. But it was even more painful for Berry’s family, who spent many intimate moments with Berry.
Berry’s family confirmed that Berry’s health had deteriorated over the days leading up to his death in a statement.
Berry, who had a long marriage with his wife, Themetta Suggs, left a substantial legacy for his family.
At the time, Berry was employed as a janitor.
